Greg Warsek Named to Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame

CHICAGO, March 11, 2025 – Greg Warsek, executive vice president, head of commercial real estate and facilities, has been named to the Midwest Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Hall of Fame for 2024 by Midwest Real Estate News.

Warsek is part of the fifteenth class of the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame, a distinguished group of real estate professionals who have made a difference in their industry and communities.

“I’ve always loved commercial real estate,” Warsek said. “I grew up in the family business, buying, rehabbing, and leasing residential properties. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to help clients achieve their goals by financing numerous construction projects. Some of those client relationships span more than 30 years, and together, we’ve navigated many milestones.”

He joined Associated in 2002 and has worked in commercial real estate for more than 37 years. Warsek oversees Associated’s entire commercial real estate business and production for 13 teams,11 production offices in eight states totaling more than $11 billion in commitments. His accomplishments include:

  • Establishing the Chicago Commercial Real Estate office for Associated Bank in 2002, as well as the St. Louis Commercial Real Estate Loan Production Office in 2004.
  • Creating three teams based in Chicago, the Institutional, REIT and Chicago Middle Market groups, which has grown into a $4.7 billion portfolio. 

Warsek was promoted to executive vice president, head of commercial real estate and facilities effective March 1, 2025. He joins Paul Schmidt, executive vice president, Twin Cities market president, who was named to the Midwest Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Hall of Fame in 2022.
