CHICAGO – August 20, 2025 – Associated Bank announced the completion of a $11,644,550 loan to Transformco Properties for the refinance and renovation of a former Sears store to a Dick’s House of Sport. The property is located at 6910 Fayetteville Road in Durham, North Carolina, at the Streets at Southpoint, an open-air shopping center.
Unlike the traditional Dick’s Sporting Goods retail chain, Dick's House of Sport is an enhanced, experiential concept store featuring engaging customer experiences through interactive elements like batting cages, golf simulators and rock walls. The 111,399 square-foot project is expected to open in October 2025.
Transformco Properties specializes in reinventing the physical footprint of existing retail real estate into dynamic new venues offering shopping, entertainment, commercial and mixed-use experiences to meet marketplace needs and attract a broad range of consumers.
