MILWAUKEE, May 15, 2025 – Associated Banc-Corp (NYSE: ASB) (“Associated”) donated the first six of 25 bikes to cancer survivors, their families and caregivers to participate in the inaugural Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Audaxity Bike Ride, a new fundraising initiative to support critical cancer research.
More than 130 Associated Bank senior leaders built 25 bikes during a recent leadership meeting focused on collaboration, connection and community engagement. The donation of the first six bikes was celebrated at a special event on May 13 at the MCW Cancer Center where recipients received their new bikes. Along with the bikes, Associated donated helmets and free registration for the Audaxity Cruiser Ride happening at American Family Field on August 17.

Audaxity is a bold new bike ride that brings together doctors, researchers, patients and the community to accelerate lifesaving research discoveries at the MCW Cancer Center. Associated is the founding sponsor for the race.
Gustavo Leone, PhD, MCW Cancer Center director, emphasized the importance of this ride in an interview with Spectrum News 1 at the donation event, "We have two goals: one is to raise wheelbarrows of money so we can do the research necessary to cure cancer. The second goal is to engage the community to be part of the solution.”
Cancer survivors participating in the event expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to give back. Jamila Mahmood and Monique Morris, both cancer survivors, highlighted the importance of community advocacy and raising awareness about all cancers.
“It feels like a true gift. Cancer has really transformed our lives,” shared one recipient who is a caregiver to her loved one in an interview with Spectrum News 1. “Being in the middle of treatment, it’s been critical to have something that gives us purpose and fuel us and help our community.”
The partnership between Associated Bank, MCW and Audaxity represents a collaborative effort to advance cancer research while providing hope and community to cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers throughout the region.
